  • BBP member business bans disposable coffee cups

    In a bold move, Tonic Lane in Neutral Bay has phased out single-use disposable coffee cups since 1 August and encouraging hot drink lovers to bring their own reusable cups, or to help themselves to a free mug, in an attempt to reduce unnecessary waste going to landfill.

    The Better Business Partnership has partnered with the Responsible Cafes program! 3 billion takeaway cups are thrown away every year, and most of them are never recycled. Businesses have the power to reduce this and change behaviours, by influencing their team’s daily coffee habit and encouraging local cafes to reward sustainable behaviours.
